The New 2013 AlcoHAWK PT500P breathalyzer with wireless printer incorporates a fuel-cell sensor to virtually eliminate false positives and offer enhanced accuracy over traditional semi-conductor sensors.

Wireless Printing Capability: This is the only breathalyzer that allows the user to wirelessly Print test results to the Wireless Printer, with the press of a button. The wireless printer will print out the time, date, test count and BAC% of the subject, it also has a place for a name or a employee number.

The simple menu-driven operation allows you to quickly and accurately screen for the presence of alcohol up to 0.400% BAC.

Adjustable Blowing Time: The AlcoHAWK PT500P is the first breathalyzer that allows you to control the blowing time. The blowing time may be adjusted for testing subjects with poor lung capacity, such as a smoker, or for testing subjects with a large lung capacity, such as a high-endurance runner. This makes the PT500P ideal for accurate and reliable testing of a variety of individuals. The PT500P's blowing time is adjustable from 3 to 8 seconds.

Temperature Display: The PT500P constantly displays the ambient temperature during use to help you operate the unit during its optimal temperature range of 50° - 104° F (10° - 40° C).

Alarm Point: The unit will read “High” if the BAC reading exceeds the alarm point setting. The default setting is 0.020% BAC. You can change the alarm point from between 0.020%-0.080% BAC.

Warning Level Indicator: The AlcoHAWK PT500P features an audible and visual warning when a subject's BAC surpasses the adjustable BAC alarm point.

Pressure Scan Sensor: Ensures that the user blows with enough force to start a test and also ensures that they continue to blow through the unit throughout the entire test.

Wireless Printing Capability: Print test results to the AlcoHAWK PT Series Wireless Printer with the press of a button. The wireless printer will print out the time, date, test count and BAC% of the subject, it also has a place for a name or a employee number.

Convert Units: Use this option to change the unit of alcohol concentration shown for tests. You can choose between %BAC (U.S.A), g/L, or ‰BAC. The default setting is %BAC (U.S.A), the U.S.A standard.

You have to get one of these, it will save your life literally and financially. Spend a couple hundreds dollars or

1. lose job

2. lose license

3. lose insurance (they will drop you) or triple your rates!!

4. lose your dignity, even if you occasionally drink they made me go to AA for twice a week 6 months, MANDATORY or violate probation.

5. very expensive- court costs, lawyer fee, jail fee, interlock device fess, mandatory counseling fess, probation fees, renew license fees I could go on and on and on

6. My cost was about $9,300 first offense I lost license no driving not even to work and made me put the ignition device in car which is a very very expensive and must pay every month.

Bottom line BUY A BREATHALYZER, test yourself before the flashing lights are in your rear view mirror and your in hand cuffs. And STAY SAFE.

I am very happy with the PT500. I had 2 on the past and this is as good if not better than my previous 2. I believe the test are correct. I would buy this item again!

The AlcoHawk PT 500 is an excellent product. Easy to use and extremely accurate. I host dinner parties and there is always wine, but sometimes thoughtful guests bring a nice bourbon or Scotch. Before anyone leaves, they have to use the breathalyzer; 0.06 or higher (0.08 is legally "drunk" in CA), they're staying the night or I'm calling them a cab! As a host, you are legally liable if your guest is involved in an alcohol related accident.

I purchased this unit to help me determine when it's safe to drive home after a party. It seems to give me a pretty good idea about my current state of intoxication and compares well with similar models from several different manufactures. The overall feel is kind of "hollow plastic", but it gets the job done very well and helps me decide if I am ready to go home or if I should stay a while longer. I would recommend this unit to anyone who is planning on going out and trying to decide when it is safe to drive home. It only takes one drink to put you over the safe/legal limit, but allowing enough time for it to wear off will allow you to get home safely, using this device can help determine when you or your friends are well below the legal limit.

Easy to use, appears to be accurate and you do not need to blow as long as I did with my older and cheaper meter. Just make sure you wait after your last drink, for at least 20 min. And drink some water before the test. Alcohol traces in your mouth seem to really influence the reading and give a much higher result. But I think that goes for all meters. I highly recommend it!

Well this breathalyzer has become the hit of several parties. It's becomes quite the entertainment piece and is also a great way for figuring out who is wasted and shouldn't be driving. As with all breathalyzers, you do have to wait the 20 minutes to get an accurate reading. If you blow in it right after a tequila shot, your BAC will read really high since all that alcohol is right in your mouth and hasn't been absorbed fully into your bloodstream. However, this thing has recorded several hundred readings and is still working great. After you use it enough you get a really good idea of where you are on the scale and I can pretty much tell whether or not I'm over 0.08 without even blowing into it. I've done it enough so now I know. It has definitely been worth the money I paid for it!
